NOTICE: Effective May 22, 2013 the new Medical Center Express run from Sterling Ridge Park & Ride will begin at 6:00 a.m. instead of the initial 5:30 a.m. And it will return at 4:40 p.m.

General Information

The District operates three Park & Rides for your commuting convenience. Destinations include the Texas Medical Center, Greenway Plaza, as well as the Central Business District of Houston. The Express Routes provide a comfortable, convenient and economical way to commute. For your safety the Park & Ride sites have security guards and security lighting. Scheduled service is provided Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays. Gates open at 5:00 a.m. and are locked at 9:00 p.m.  Park & Ride tickets must be purchased for this service, drivers do not accept cash. Buses are filled on a first come, first served basis. These buses only stop at designated locations.

 

General Policies

  • Smoking, eating, drinking is not permitted on any bus.

  • No weapons or firearms on buses.

  • Only personal assistance animals are permitted on buses and in facilities.

  • Loud and/or abusive behavior or language including profanity/racial or vulgar comments will be cause for immediate removal from the bus and possible loss of ridership privileges.

  • Passengers may only bring carry on items that will fit comfortably on their lap and will not protrude into the next seat.  Drivers cannot help load or unload items. 

  • The District reserves the right to restrict certain items on all buses.

  • Riding District vehicles under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs is prohibited.

  • Radios, cassette, disc players, or any other music/movie playing device are not permitted to be played aloud while on any bus.

  • The District is not responsible for personal items left on the bus. Passengers may call The District at (281)363-0882 to find out about any personal items they may have left on the vehicle. If recovered, The District will hold personal items for 60 days prior to disposal.

Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

 

We are closed for the following holidays:

*The office will be open on Monday, December 31st 2012, however, commuter buses will not operated on Monday, December 31, 2012.

 

Fares

Research, Sawdust & Sterling Ridge

Tickets may be purchased at the Park & Rides or at the Transportation Center at Greenway Plaza (Phone: 713.965.2980). A round trip ticket is $10.00.  Ticket books may be purchased for $200.00 for a book of twenty round trips.

 

We now accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover. All ticket sales are final - No exchanges or refunds. Lost, destroyed, or unused tickets and passes will not be replaced.  Customer Service: 1-979-778-0607 ext 7008.
