Bryan
Terminal/Parking Garage
Brazos Transit District (The District) will begin
construction on the new Roy Kelly Multimodal Terminal & Parking
Garage on March 8, 2010. The site for the Parking Garage is located
on 26th Street across the street from the Brazos County
Courthouse. This project will be an estimated $ 15 million project
and has been made possible by the following: Congressman Chet
Edwards, Brazos County, The City of Bryan, the Federal Transit
Administration, the Texas Department of Transportation, and Brazos
Transit District. The Interim financing for this project has been
provided by The Bank & Trust.
Designated parking areas (Areas A, B, C, & D marked
in green) have been designated to alleviate parking issues and
congestion during the 15 – 18 months that the facility is under
construction. In addition to the designated parking areas, The
District will operate a circulator shuttle route (route shown by red
arrows) that will allow people parking in the designated areas to
board the bus free of charge and be dropped off directly in front of
the courthouse or at the County Administration Building. During
construction, we will allow anyone with a current jury duty
summons to ride any fixed route in B/CS at no charge by simply
showing the jury duty summons to the driver.
